Hi there, my name is Candis Aston-Davis and I teach Dance!

A graduate of Virginia State University with a B.A. in Public Relations: Mass Communications, Candis has decades of dance training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Modern along with over 15 years of competitive dance experience. While living in Atlanta, Candis has performed with the African American Dance Review, judged for the Georgia High School State Dance Championship, and Revolution Dance Competition choreographed for an episode of Drop Dead Diva, choreographed three musicals for the Georgia Singers Musical Theater group, and has provided guest choreography for events and studios all throughout the South East. She has also recently been accepted into the “Palette Project” by Dance Canvas in Atlanta, GA.

Candis is currently a member of the National Dance Education Organization where she has served as an adjudicator for their student scholarship auditions. She spent six years teaching dance in the private and charter sectors of Dance Education in Georgia school systems. And most recently, provided S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) resources to the Georgia Department of Education.

Candis has been able to accomplish this all while simultaneously instructing dance at multiple studios in the Atlanta metro area; serving as the Assistant Director for one and providing competitive dance team choreography to others in the metro area. Furthermore, she is currently pursuing her MA in Dance Pedagogy. Previously, Candis has also worked in Dance Management, where she, along with her business partner, has provided talent for MTV, VH1, International Dance Competitions, and more.
